MCWD accepted the turn-over of Level II Water System of Brgy. Guindaohan and Brgy. Busay in Barugo, Leyte
As part of its commitment to bring safe, affordable and sustainable water to the people of Metro Carigara, particularly those living in the countryside, the MCWD management attended the ceremonial turn-over of Brgy. Guindaohan and Brgy. Busay’s Level II Water System to Metro Carigara Water District.
MCWD formally accepted the turned over water system with the assurance that the residents of these barangays will now have access to safe drinking water, flowing directly from their home taps. The management also committed to provide maintenance and repair, whenever necessary, to the turned over water lines and facilities to meet the demands and ensure 24/7 supply of water.
Chairman Roque U. Aguilar together with the Board of Directors spearheaded the acceptance in Brgy. Guindaohan, Barugo, Leyte last March 8, 2018 while General Manager Atty. Regidor V. Caballes led the acceptance on May 24, 2018 in Brgy. Busay, Barugo, Leyte in the presence of the respective Barangay Officials.
The officials and residents of the two barangays cannot contain the excitement and gladness felt in anticipation of the installation of their own residential water connection. Thus to speed up the process, MCWD offered a payment scheme which proves to be beneficial to the new consumers of the water district’s service.
As such, Brgy. Guindaohan and Brgy. Busay will be the newest addition to the MCWD’s service coverage area. (J. Lawaan)
